The Allied Free Sentients or AFS Freedom Corps is a rebel alliance of sentient species that fight to survive intergalactic war against The Bane. Who are the Bane? That’s a long story…

“Ya see, long time ago, there were these guys called the Eloh. Aliens… heh, well i suppose we’re all aliens now… Anyway, not from Earth. Had an advanced culture, and a really good understandin’ of physics, energy, an’ matter. An I mean reeeealll good! They manage to tap into this power called Logos. Not like i fully understand it, all i know is it’s handy when you’ve got 5 Bane incommin’, and left ya best shotgun in your footlocker!

So, these Eloh. They start using this power to travel the galaxy. Visiting other planets, and gifting the Logos knowledge to those they think can handle it. Unfortunately for us they turn up a few thousand years too early on ol’ Earth, and all they find at a bunch of primitive guys in animal skins chuckin’ rocks at each others heads… Come to think of it, sound like an average night in the mess hall hehe… Anyhow, these Eloh, they don’t wanna leave us hangin, so they leave clues around on Earth, so once we’ve become ‘enlightened’ enough we can make contact.

We’re not the only race they leave stuff with. There are many others. If the race is already advanced enough, the Eloh would just hand over any info you asked for. Yeh. The Eloh would have loved the 60s hippy culture… On their travels spreadin’ the love, the Eloh meet the Thrax. It’s the usual, nice sweet intro, and the Thrax are over the moon with their new found ‘friends’… However, the Thrax turn out to be a bunch of 2 faced, backstabbin free loaders and, after learning as much as they can, turn on the Eloh. War starts. The Eloh, take heavy losses, but eventually win out.

It’s at this point, the Eloh start to fracture into 2 parts. The tree huggin hippy Eloh, that believe they should continue sharing their knowledge, and the Neph splinter group that believe they should keep it all to themselves so they can wield there power over anyone that trys to rip them off again. This in-fighting gets so bad, the Neph run off and join up with the remaining Thrax! With the help of Thrax weapons and tactics, they go on a murdering rampage, overthrowin’ the Eloh home-world an flattenin anyone that got in the way…

Meanwhile, back on Earth, we’ve started to make some advancements. We advance from trying to brain each other with rocks, to blowin entire cities off the face of the map with nuclear bombs. Ahh… happy times… Anyway, all this activity on our lil’ blue planet attracts the attention of the Neph, who’ve been busy searching worlds, to add more allies to there growing army. An army now know as…

The Bane.

Course… When the Bane show up on our doorstep, we are well an truly fubared. Just 5 days and the whole planet is overrun. Thankfully, in recent years, some clever sparks had started to figure out the clues the Eloh had left us. This gave us enough knowledge for at least some of humanity to escape to alien worlds as refugees. And here we are. We have our own allies. Other races fighting to survive the Bane threat. We work together, to take the fight back to them.“
